We also sell new local Ordnance Survey maps, old postcards and maps, and offer a comprehensive design and copying while-you-wait service. We can produce leaflets, menus, booklets, posters, tickets etc in colour at a very competitive price. We also provide a FAX service. Sylvan Photography is part of Forest Books, and we have for sale in the shop a selection of landscape photographs, both mounted and framed, again at very affordable prices. We also offer a variety of photographic services, including renovation of old photographs, enhancement of your own mediocre digital photographs, and photoshoots in your own home or business. Forest Books is open Monday - Saturday 10.30-am - 5pm approximately, and on most Sunday afternoons. |

Made is a small independant gallery based in Uppingham that sells contemporary handmade jewellery, ceramics, leather goods, glassware, art, textiles and cards. Made is owned by Julia Groundsell who believes passionately in preserving the art of designing and making things by hand rather than outsourcing these methods to overseas factories. She is focused on sourcing work from artists who design and make their own work in their workshops or homes. Made offers something unique for the individual who loves great design and isn’t scared of a little edginess.
Made is constantly changing, regularly updating and introducing new makers. Julia strives to seek out and promote the best emerging talent, both locally and throughout UK and Europe. She has collections by Petra Meiren, Ken Eardley, Feniom, Michelle McKinney, Stuart Ackroyd, Sophie Honeybourne, Rob Morris, Tanya Igic, Catherine Edwards (CE Leather), Kokkino, Jennifer Wall, Alexis Dove, Teresa Green and many more. Made Gallery has a workshop onsite where Juila makes and designs her own jewellery range JEG Design. Julia also offers a bespoke jewellery design service for people who require something that is unique. She helps her clients plan the design and then custom makes the piece to their specific needs. Julia is experienced in designing and making a wide range of jewellery including engagement and wedding rings.
