Uppingham First is pleased to announce the appointment of local man Ric Ellis to the Board. Rick is currently Operations Director of the environmental company Groundwork - Leicester and Leicestershire.

The Board of Uppingham First met on April 28th. Agenda items included consideration of an incentive scheme to encourage shopping locally, a proposal to construct a travelling trade stand for use at exhibitions and shows, and debate on a consultative document entitled 'Uppingham 2025'
December 2008
Uppingham First's entry into the 2008 Calor Village of the Year Competition (see home page) has won the 'Business Category' for Central England. The prize, a certificate and a cheque for £500, was presented to the Partnership at its meeting on December 10th 2008 by new Director Neil Hermsen who had received the prize on the town's behalf at a ceremony held in the Guildhall, London.
