Information Request Reveals Uppingham Contribution to Parking Income PDF Print E-mail

Following a Freedom of Information request by a local business, Rutland County Council has released figures revealing the extent of Uppingham's  contribution to the revenue received from parking machines in the county's car parks.

The figures are as follows:-

For 2008/9 Oakham £215,560 Uppingham £101,440 Total £317.000

For 2009/10 Oakham £206,143 Uppingham £99,665 Total £305.808

RCC further confirmed that no capital costs had been incurred in 2007 or 2008 for car parking.

Costs excluding staffing are said to total  £4766 for 2008/9 and £3500 for 2009/10.

Staffing costs of £127,800 and additional income of £59,000 from penalty charges for 2008/9 were revealed in response to an earlier request.
