The Uppingham Farmers Market, held on the second Friday of every month, looks set to benefit  from the increased publicity gained by the town from the recent awards won by local businesses and the Uppingham First Community Partnership's success in the 2010 Action for Market Towns Awards. An Uppingham First spokesperson reports, "There is a significant increase in interest in the market from local food producers and national agencies. We now have a waiting list of producers seeking a place on the market and the National Trust is to join us in September. Given that it costs nothing to enter such competitions, it is a cost effective method of promoting the town"

The August Farmers Market will be held on Friday August 13th.
